Treekote is a line of tree care products manufactured under Eaton Brothers — including asphalt emulsion wound dressings, grafting wax, banding gum, tree wrap, and burlap — designed to protect trees at every vulnerable point from pruning cuts to winter dormancy.
The Treekote product line has been in use since 1887, built around the principle that specific materials do specific jobs: the asphalt emulsion wound dressing creates a physical moisture and pest barrier over fresh cuts, the grafting wax (Trowbridge's formula) seals graft unions while the cambium layers fuse, and the banding gum intercepts crawling insects before they reach the canopy. Every product in the Treekote lineup is made in the USA.
- Treekote wound dressing is an asphalt emulsion formula available in aerosol (8 oz, 12 oz), brush-top (16 oz), tub (16 oz), and gallon bucket formats.
- Trowbridge's Grafting Wax — rosin, beeswax, and tallow — has been used in orchards and vineyards since 1934.
- A 1983 ISA study found Treekote-treated wounds showed higher closure rates and lower decay incidence than untreated wounds.
- Treekote banding gum uses a non-toxic formula of natural gum resin, castor oil, and vegetable wax — safe around children and pets.
- Treekote burlap rolls are 100% jute at 234 GSM, manufactured domestically under Eaton Brothers.
